It's very important to be in your child's life and know what's going on and be there with them.

My father was the role model I looked up to. My dad was an entertainer, too. I patterned my life after him. He wanted me to do better than he did. He never sold a record in his life, but to me he was still a rock star.

What I have learned over the years is to try to stay in the moment. I want to feel it all because I've realized nothing lasts.
