At some point, you gotta stop looking up at the sky, or one of these days you'll look back down and see that you floated away, too.

When I look at my room, I see a girl who loves books.

This is what happens: somebody—girl usually—got a free spirit, doesn't get on too good with her parents. These kids, they're like tied-down helium balloons. They strain against the string and strain against it, and then something happens, and that string gets cut, and they just float away. And maybe you never see the balloon again . . . Or maybe three or four years from now, or three or four days from now, the prevailing winds take the balloon back home . . . But listen, kid, that string gets cut all the time.

All of us, poor & rich alike, have been conditioned by our upbringings. Impoverished men & women may become lulled into a state of "learned helplessness" without hope to change their lives. Likewise, the wealthy can walk in a state of "learned blindness" ignoring the desperation of the local & global poor.

You are helpful, and you are loved, and you are forgiven, and you are not alone.

Everybody should have true love, and it should last at least as long as your life does.

I thought you hung the moon.
