All great programmers learn the same way. They poke the box. They code something and see what the computer does. They change it and see what the computer does. They repeat the process again and again until they figure out how the box works.

More and more people now have jobs that require them to confront the risk of appearing stupid on a regular basis.

Little changes cost you. Big changes benefit you by changing the game, but only if you go first.

Art isn't only a painting. Art is anything that is creative, passionate and personal. Art is the unique work of a human being created to touch another. Art is created to have an impact, to change someone else.

You get to keep making art as long as you are willing to make the choices that let you make your art.

This might end up in crying. If you're not prepared to cry about it, I'm not sure you're making art. And if you're not prepared to dance in anticipation, you're definitely not making art.

The problem with working with a coach isn't that we don't know what to do. The real problem is that we don't want to change our mind.
