Life is full of twists and surprises. Sometimes they are joyful and happy, and other times they are devastating. But the truth is that every event in our lives is actually a lesson. 

Everyone gets from life the lessons they need the most. One needs more humility, another needs more confidence, another needs to fight their ego. That is why life makes sure that everyone learns what will benefit them. 

Today I offer you eight lessons that everyone encounters sooner or later in life:

💚 People sometimes leave

This lesson is mandatory and everyone learns it at some point in their lives. Most of our friends take their own path and leave our lives. There are people who stay, of course. They are the greatest wealth. Your partner may also want a different lifestyle and leave. Loved ones grow old and leave our world, children grow up and take their own path and leave. The only person who stays in your life forever is you. So take good care of yourself.

💚 You will change and priorities will rearrange

They say people don't change and always stay the same. That's actually not exactly true. Everything in life is constantly changing, including us. Years pass, we get wiser, significant events happen to us and our priorities change. Today your dreams are the same, but in ten or even five years they will probably be different. Don't dismiss the possibilities and cling to the person you used to be. Get to know the person you are and learn to love yourself that way.

💚 Time really does heal

Time changes everything. A problem today may seem daunting, but tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now, a year from now, or ten years from now, you probably won't even remember it. Even if it's cloudy and rainy in your life today, never forget - it can't rain forever. One day the sun will come out and stay out. Just give yourself time.

💚 In order to receive, you must give

Rarely do we get things for free in our lives. To get money, you have to give your labor, your talent, your time and your belief in yourself. To get love, you have to give love. To get peace of mind, you have to give peace of mind. To get what you dream of, you must first learn to dream.

💚 The most precious thing in your life is time

This is perhaps the most important lesson we learn in life. However, sometimes we learn it too late. Time is what you cannot get back. Don't waste it. Do everything in your power and more to spend it with the people you love, doing the work you love, living in a place you love. Don't let yourself waste your time in hate, sadness, anger, frustration, or boredom. Don't spend time with your loved ones with your nose stuck in your smartphone. Communicate fully and live fully. Cherish every moment of your life and give thanks for it.

💚 Planning is often pointless

It's an undeniable truth that whatever we plan, life happens somewhere in there...in between all the planning. It's not about not planning your summer vacation. But don't put too much into planning because nothing is really up to you. You don't know where you'll be tomorrow or a month from now. Let life happen and don't miss out on the opportunities it presents just because they are in your planner. Live now, today, tomorrow and every day.

💚 Sometimes you will be wrong

We all make mistakes and that can't pass you by. Get used to that thought and don't seek to be right at all costs. Accept that you make mistakes too and learn to forgive yourself. Forgive your mistakes and the mistakes of others, even if you are not asked to apologize, and your life will certainly be easier and happier.

💚 Every mistake is actually a lesson

Once you've accepted the idea that mistakes are inevitable, it's time to learn the most valuable lesson. Every mistake is actually a lesson. Instead of sitting around feeling sorry for yourself and blaming yourself for your mistakes, give yourself a chance to learn the lesson that was meant for you. The mistake or situation it led you to will repeat itself in your life until you learn the lesson it brings. Once you realize it, you will never face the same mistake again.
