Now when I hear about someone's illness, no matter what dire their predicament seems to be, I know that if they're willing to do the mental work of releasing and forgiving, almost anything can be healed. The word incurable, which is so frightening to so many people, really only means that the particular condition cannot be cured by 'outer' methods and that we must go within to effect the healing. The condition came from nothing and will go back to nothing.
Louise HayLearn to think in positive affirmations. Affirmations are any statements you make. Too often we think in negative affirmations. Negative affirmations only create more of what you say you don't want. Saying, โI hate my job,โ will get you nowhere. Declaring, โI now accept a wonderful new job,โ will open the channels in your consciousness to create that.
Louise HayI have never understood the importance of having children memorize battle dates. It seems like such a waste of mental energy. Instead, we could teach them important subjects such as How the Mind Works, How to Handle Finances, How to Invest Money for Financial Security, How to be a Parent, How to Create Good Relationships, and How to Create and Maintain Self-Esteem and Self-Worth. Can you imagine what a whole generation of adults would be like if they had been taught these subjects in school along with their regular curriculum?
Louise HayForgiveness is for yourself because it frees you. It lets you out of that prison you put yourself in.
Louise HayI am willing to let go. I release others to experience whatever is meaningful to them, and I am free to create that which is meaningful to me.
Louise HayIn the early days, I didn't have the money to pay decent salaries, so I didn't get good people. I got nice people, but I didn't get good employees.
Louise HayI trust Life. I know it brings me everything that I need at the perfect time and in the perfect way.
Louise HayAll of us can improve the quality of our lives if we practice the art of self-care and train our minds to think thoughts that make us feel good.
Louise HayIt is okay to ask for help. I give help when others need it, and ask for help when I need it.
Louise HayI truly believe that many of the fears we have are unnecessary. It is something we've been taught. It has been programmed into us. It's just a habitual thinking pattern, and it can be changed.
Louise HayIf your mother did not know how to love herself, or your father did not know how to love himself, then it would be impossible for them to teach you to love yourself. They were doing the best they could with what they had been taught as children.
Louise HayItโs not what happens to you, but how you handle it. If Life gives you lemons, make lemonade. If the lemons are rotten, take out the seeds and plant them in order to grow new lemons.
Louise HayNo matter whether your life is pleasant or good; whether you are having big challenges or no challenges, your state of your mind has everything to do with how you will relate to your experiences.
Louise HayI release all criticism. I only give out that which I wish to receive in return. My love and acceptance of others is mirrored to me in every moment.
Louise HayAs an automobile needs premium fuel to operate well, our bodies need real, fresh food to maintain health. Packaged food creates dis-ease. Thereโs no nourishment in it. The body can only handle it for so long. Then, when you do have a problem, you usually take an over-the-counter or prescription drug. This is another form of poison.
Louise HayTaking a step without knowing the end result is the only way we develop faith and not only this, it's a practice that connects us with a power greater than ourselves.
Louise HayThat person who is the hardest to forgive is the one who can teach you the greatest lessons. When you love yourself enough to rise above the old situation, then understanding and forgiveness will be easy. And you'll be free.
Louise HayI am grateful for being alive today. It is my joy and pleasure to live another wonderful day.
Louise HayIt is safe to be me. I love life. I am always safe and secure. I move forward in life with joy and ease. All is well in my world.
Louise HayLove who you are and what you are and what you do. Laugh at yourself and at life and nothing can touch you.
Louise HayI believe that should is one of the most damaging words in our language. Every time we use it, we are, in effect, saying that we are wrong, or we were wrong, or we're going to be wrong. I would like to take the word should out of our vocabulary forever and replace it with the word could. This word gives us a choice, and we're never wrong.
Louise HayAsk for what you want. Believe that you deserve it, and then allow Life to give it to you.
Louise HayPeople have one of two extreme reactions to my book. They either throw it across the room, or they rush out and buy 10 copies. The message I'm giving out, that what we think about becomes true for us, and negative thoughts mean good things don't happen, isn't always easy for some people to take.
